Randomly chosen by fellow Joburg Photowalker Diana Lynne Sanderson from my Blue collection.

Photo 75 of 356 of the 2015 Collection

Somewhere on the Olifantsbos Shipwreck Trail my wife, Geraldine, knelt and started shooting kelp on the beach, it was drizzling and we nearly cancelled the photowalk.
This is how it starts, vision, I have never been able to see like she does, I doubt I ever will.

I really am oblivious to the flora finer points but that looks like it was prickly.

Photo 14 of 356 of the 2015 Collection

Randomly chosen by beach lover Loraine Botha from my Blue collection.
Loraine has randomly hit photos from my Oliphanbos Trail walk twice, she therefore must be either cheating or (and I favor this) love beaches.
This was an area where the tides leftover was rather obvious, kelp was rampant and scattered about. There must have been some serious sea movement the days before. I guess that is why it was once called the Cape of Storms

It’s also becoming challenging and fun to allow random picks from people on Facebook.
It forces me to do photos I had in my “publishable” collection but never got around to it, that means getting creative to get the photo just right.
Post-processing has now taken a new meaning.

Randomly chosen by good neighbor Andrew Stevenson from my Blue collection.
Beaches, long stretch of satin white sand brushing our feet as we walk along…
Not so here, it was rocky and a hard walk but beautiful in every ways imaginable, the Oliphantbos Walking Trail is well worth doing.
We, unfortunately, could not finish it due to the weather but it was fun never the less.

Corrosion makes absolutely fantastic patterns, the eroding Thomas T Tucker was no exception, you can find it on the Olifantsbos Shipwreck Trail in the Cape Point Nature reserve.
