What gets more complicated than an HDR?
In my books, a blue hour panoramic scene with moving clouds, the conditions keep changing by the second. In this case, I was very conservative and decided that a 2 photo panoramic would do, since each was 30 seconds I really did not know if it was going to work.
    It did!

    Cape Town by night

Lately, I have been attracted to night lights, I was down in the fair city of Cape Town and planned to shoot for the top of Signal Hill, which as this photo and the next 2 will profess, I did. This was not without some challenges. Little di I know it was going to be freezing up there, I had a jacket but nothing to cover my ears, this resulted in an unpleasant experience.
The results were worth it, though.

Somewhere on the Olifantsbos Shipwreck Trail my wife, Geraldine, knelt and started shooting kelp on the beach, it was drizzling and we nearly cancelled the photowalk.
This is how it starts, vision, I have never been able to see like she does, I doubt I ever will.

I just knew you all wanted a squirrel from Companies Garden in Cape Town, I just knew.
The next 12 days are going to be rather interesting I am off to Reunion Island, if you don’t know where that is click here, in short it’s off the coast of Africa (way off) in the Indian Ocean past Madagascar and is situated in France, yep it is an overseas department of France and in the infamous Euro zone. Weird I know!
Loads of shooting on the agenda and hopefully loads of good photos and stories to share!
